I've passed by here for years but never actually stopped in because I doubted they would have a veggie hotdog. Boy was I wrong! Their soy veggie dog was absolutely delicious and I always feel special when meat focused eateries have vegetarian options. I would absolutely go back and try some more of their veggie options! DH was happy with his real meat hotdog, too!

    Hello Chicago dog...
This little restaurant used Vienna hot dogs and Vienna toppings. I'm told this is a big deal. It certainly tasted great. The Chicago dog was tender, juicy, and the bun was pillowy soft. Two slices of tomato and two "sport peppers" plus Chicago relish and yellow mustard made for one tasty little meal! I would 5-star but our fries, although generously portioned, were fried longer than they should have been, leaving them a bit bitter. Overall though, delicious!

Oh hell yeah! I've passed here many times with work comrades. Today we were in the area on an appointment. So we popped in.
Plus-take AMEX so I can buy my peeps lunch!
Plus-giardinaria. pickled veggies in olive oil. Original
Plus-neon green relish! Harry Carey would say Holy cow!
Pus-sport peppers and celery salt! Authentic!
Plus-authentic Vienna franks. Snappy casing and all.
    Plus -poppyseed bun!
Adding up to a very good original Chicago style hotdogs and Italian beef Sami.
    Minus- limited dining spots indoors
Minus- parking lot shared with strip mall
Other than that, any of my hommies from Chi-town would recognize that this is a legit Chicago dog and Italian beef place. Don't get huffy now, they do have other stuff for the folks not blessed to have come from the Windy City. Chili dogs for you New Yawk-ers aka Coney Islanders Burgers brats etc. I can't comment as I only go for the Chicago oriented fare.
The bath rooms are clean, the staff quick to take and fill orders. A great casual place to eat fairly cheep right the Ron the main drag.
Hey hey holy mackerel! Chicago dogs in Denver!

This is just a great, divey, classic old American hot dog stand.

    Simple. Fresh. Tasty. Fast. Cheap.

Love it! Only wish parking was better but that comes with being on/near a college campus,  which just adds to the character to me.

Every college campus has the classic pizza or hamburger place nearby. If I went to DU, I'm guessing that I would have come here on a weekly basis.

You've got some laidback down to earth guys hooking up the goodies. In fact, I remember that I went in on Halloween one year, and was entitled to a single Snickers mini-candy. What a deal!

The burgers have a very backyard BBQ taste. They're kind of smoky. I had the hot dogs a few times, but I reverted back to the burgers thereafter.
